10 Week Combined Snowboard Instructor & Off Piste Course

This is what we think is the ultimate snowboarding course for people who want to hone their skills, become a qualified instructor and learn more about backcountry snowboarding, spilt boarding and avalanche safety.

The first part of the course covers all mountain improvement and preparation for the CASI L1 course which we schedule into week 4. By the time this is over, you should have really improved across the entire mountain and be riding to a technically high level. After this, the focus changes to off piste technique and backcountry training. We include both the Canadian Avalanche Association AST 1 & 2 on this program to teach you more about avalanche safety and operating in the backcountry. You will also learn how to split board, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the amazing terrain of the Garibaldi park beyond the resort boundaries.
