Join us at Whistler Blackcomb – The Ultimate Mountain Experience

Welcome to Whistler Blackcomb, one of the most iconic ski destinations on the planet — and the proud home of ALLTRACKS. This is where our Canadian team lives, skis, and shares their passion for the mountains all winter long.

Consistently ranked the #1 resort in North America, Whistler Blackcomb offers a truly world-class experience: over 8,000 acres of terrain, deep and reliable snowfall, and endless opportunities for skiers to push their limits. From steep alpine bowls and hidden tree runs to perfectly sculpted parks and cruisy groomers — it’s a playground like no other.

But Whistler is more than just terrain. The village buzzes with energy, alive with mountain culture, vibrant après-ski, and events that turn every week into a celebration of the snow sports lifestyle.

At ALLTRACKS, we choose to operate in only a select few locations — and that’s because they have to be exceptional. Whistler delivers on every level, and then some. If you’re dreaming of the ultimate ski adventure, this is where it begins — and we can’t wait to welcome you.

SNOW: Join the powder club

With annual snowfall at nearly 40 feet, Whistler outperforms virtually all global resorts, providing reliable and exceptional ski conditions over a very long winter season.

When it snows here, it typically snows BIG. With an increasing number of skiers wanting to improve their deep snow technique and enjoy the delights of powder, Whistler is the ideal place.

The Location

Located in the mighty Coast Mountains that stretch along British Columbia and Alaska, Whistler is the first major resort to get hit by the prevailing Pacific storms, bringing the most intense snow and deepest powder days. We can get as geeky as you like about the snowfall, so please do get in touch if you want to talk about the snow conditions.

TERRAIN: Size matters

Whistler Blackcomb boasts a staggering 8,100 acres of terrain, as well as access to some of the most thrilling backcountry skiing in Canada. That means limitless options, especially on an extended course. Even locals discover new stashes in the resort each year and if you want to go even further there are numerous backcountry huts too.

The scale of Whistler is only part of the story – the incredible variety of terrain is what really sets it apart. From world-class tree skiing and vast powder bowls to steep couloirs, expansive pistes, glaciers, and top-tier freestyle parks – Whistler truly has it all.

The ski area consists of two massive mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb, connected by the iconic Peak2Peak Gondola. As locals say, “it’s awesome, squared.” Both mountains offer a vertical drop of a mile, leading to long runs through diverse terrain. The upper slopes feature open alpine terrain with powder bowls, chutes, groomed trails, moguls, and stunning views.

The lower areas are home to some of the best tree skiing in the world. When heavy snow hits, the trees provide natural protection from the elements, often making for excellent conditions.

When the weather calms and the sun comes out, the upper mountain reveals wide-open bowls and spectacular vistas.

THE VILLAGE: energetic, friendly – and real

Whistler Village is a lively and welcoming place. Unlike many Canadian resorts, it’s situated right at the base of the ski area, providing a true resort atmosphere. The village thrives year-round, with a vibrant, permanent community of skiers, snowboarders, climbers and those who embrace mountain life.

This is a particularly important aspect for anyone considering a longer course. You’ll feel like part of the community and enjoy all the benefits of living in such a dynamic environment.

The village has a lot to offer, from Canada’s best après-ski scene to an array of shops, cafés, restaurants, a cinema, a theatre, stylish bars, gyms, a climbing center, and much more. Whistler is also home to a variety of exciting events, including the Whistler Film Festival, the Arc’teryx Deep Winter Photography Competition, Peak to Valley and the World Ski & Snowboard Festival.

We can’t wait to share some of these experiences with you!

So whether you want to dance on tables at Euro style apres bars with top DJs, enjoy a relaxed drink with friends, hit the gym, catch a movie, go to a comedy show, learn to rock climb, enjoy live music, watch ice hockey, take a yoga class, zip wire or watch some of the top freestyle skiers – the variety in Whistler is unmatched.

Accommodation

We’re here to help you make a home in Whistler for the duration of your course, whether you’re here for the season, or for a shorter course. ALLTRACKS provides a range of vetted and approved accommodation options at various price points, where you stay alongside other guests.

We do also offer private accommodation options in our bespoke packages – or the choice to book a training course without accommodation at a lower price.

For the majority of courses, there are three levels of accommodation.

  • Premium Option: Tantalus Lodge

ALLTRACKS has numerous condos available in this extremely well located lodge, just a short walk from the village centre and major lifts. Communal facilities include pool, hot tub and sauna and unlike a regular hotel, Tantalus condos have a full kitchen, dining area and living room for socialising. Apartments are a mix of twin and single rooms, mostly with en suite and all with a second bathroom too.
  • Mid-Range Option: Upper Village & Village North Condos

On a few of our courses, a mid range option is available. This consists of a couple of condos located around the Village North or Upper Village, both of which are convenient locations. These are comfortable places to stay with a mixture of room types and sizes, and all have homely sitting rooms and sociable kitchens.
  • Affordable Option: Whistler HI Youth Hostel

The Whistler HI is a very well run youth hostel with great facilities including an inexpensive cafe, comprehensive kitchen and a great social space. ALLTRACKS take our own rooms here so you will only ever share with our other guests in private 4-person bunk rooms. The hostel is a bus ride to the lifts and village centre.

WBSSU Internship Course Accommodation

There are two types of season accommodation on the Internship programme.

Students either stay in Whistler Staff Housing, which is run by the resort itself. This is more basic, but functional, sociable and well located, or in the Whistler HI Hostel (see above).
