The ALLTRACKS Ski Instructor Internship is the perfect way to kickstart a career as a ski instructor — or to spend an unforgettable gap year or career break working in the mountains.
Run in partnership with Whistler Blackcomb Snow School University, this programme combines elite training with the opportunity to land a paid instructor job for the rest of the season at Whistler Blackcomb — Canada’s most iconic resort.
The internship begins with expert coaching to prepare you for the Level 1 Instructor Exam and recruitment process. Once successfully completed (and with a 100% success rate to date for ALLTRACKS students), you’ll be hired as an official Snow School employee — gaining invaluable teaching experience while living and working in one of the world’s best ski resorts.

Flights and travel are not included, but ALLTRACKS can organise your flights if you wish or provide advice on suitable flights.
Travel Insurance
Insurance is not included, but adequate cover for all aspects of your course and holiday for the entire duration of your trip is an ALLTRACKS requirement.
Level 2 Exam Fee
if you decide to do the Level 2 exam, you will need to pay for that, but over the last few years Whistler resort has reimbursed almost the full cost of this provided you pass.
Course Schedule
Welcome to Whistler
A warm welcome to Whistler. You’ll receive an initial welcome briefing, get introduced to your instructors and resort management team. We will then help you choose your ski equipment and show you around the resort, collect your ski pass before bringing the group together for a welcome party with a couple of drinks and some of Whistler’s greatest pizza.
Let's Ski!
Split into coaching groups and you’ll meet your personal instructor. Get ready to explore the whole of the Whistler Blackcomb resort so you know the lie of the land. With loads of miles under your belt in the first few days, your coach will already be able to analyse your technique – whilst you have fun!
Progression
Building on your experiences in week 1, we’ll start coaching according to our Unique Training Formula which splits sessions into Component, Challenge and Free Range tuition. Using regular video analysis you’ll see your progress visually and also receive instructor methodology clinics too. Guy will cover ski maintenance so you keep your gear in the best possible condition. And don’t forget the weekly apres-ski socials!
Level 1 exam and resort specific training
Time for your level 1exam. The coaching team are qualified examiners so you’ll feel confident and well prepared. We’ll be here to celebrate your success on completion too. With the Level 1 under your belt, you’ll have some reosrt specific training before donning your whistler uniform to start instructing!
