We provide snowboard instructor internships together with Whistler Blackcomb Snowboard School University (WBSSU) designed to prepare you for a career as a Snowboard Instructor.

By passing your CASI Level 1 instructor exams and complete the training program, there’s also the potential to gain a paid instructor job in Canada with the WB Snow School – subject to a post-internship interview process. Please note that everybody who has completed the WBSSU internship with ALLTRACKS has been successful in going on to work as an instructor for Whistler.

Application Procedure

Places are extremely limited on the WBSSU internship course. Interested? Contact us as early as possible so we can and answer any questions and aid your application

Candidates do need to have some relevant skills or experience. In particular, candidates should have a positive, enthusiastic and motivated outlook, and excellent communication skills who can work happily in a team environment. Being an advanced snowboarder is necessary, and having some solid coaching or leadership experience, will help. It is critical to have a valid work permit to work in Canada.

Great Snowboard Coaching

The three-week snowboard instructor internship training program is delivered by some of the most experienced snowboard coaches in Whistler, five days a week, and will focus on preparing you to be an instructor whist also developing your own skills.

You’ll be taught following the CASI methodology, and develop highly-useful safety and teaching skills. You get a good amount of personal attention and feedback whilst still enjoying the group dynamics.

Qualifications

At the end of the snowboard instructor internship, you will take the CASI Level 1 instructor exam.

The possibility of employment with the Whistler Blackcomb Snow School does exist if you successfully complete the three weeks of training and pass the exam. Successful candidates looking for employment opportunities with the school will undergo a post-snowboard internship interview process for instructor positions within Whistler Blackcomb Snow School

Based in Whistler

Our snowboard internships are all based in Whistler Blackcomb, Canada. It delivers the greatest combination of big mountain riding, huge snowfall and Canada’s best resort village.

Whistler Blackcomb Snow School is the largest in the world, with well over 1,000 employees.

Internship Accommodation

As part of the snowboard internship, four weeks in staff housing is included. The accommodation provided is functional, sociable and well-located.

After completing your snowboard internship, you will live in Whistler staff accommodation for the remainder of the season. For Whistler Blackcomb employees, this is typically paid for out of your wages once you start working.

If staff housing is full by the time you book, we provide alternative accommodation for the season (including the time on the course). If you wish to discuss the accommodation in more detail, please get in touch.
