Already a Level 2 qualified instructor? Take the next step in your professional pathway with our part-time training programme designed to prepare you for your Level 3 – and for experienced L3 candidates, Level 4 certification.
This winter-long course can run alongside your job, education or regular instructing schedule, with professional coaching typically once per week throughout the season. It’s the ideal option for those based in the Sea to Sky area working or studying full-time who want structured, high-level training without committing to a full-time programme. Although we welcome people from all over the world.
The programme is led and overseen by ALLTRACKS Head Coach, Guy Hetherington, one of Canada’s most respected Level 4 Examiners. You’ll benefit from personalised coaching, detailed technical feedback, and expert video analysis to fine-tune both your skiing performance and teaching delivery to Level 3 and Level 4 standards.
Training takes place on the world-class terrain of Whistler Blackcomb, offering the variety, pitch, and snow conditions required to develop the versatility and precision expected at higher certification levels. From advanced carving and short turns to bumps, steeps, and all-mountain performance, you’ll build the consistency and tactical awareness examiners are looking for.
Whether your goal is to strengthen your skiing, improve your movement analysis, or confidently pass your next certification exam, this structured part-time programme provides the accountability, progression, and elite coaching support to get you there.

Coaching dates are either Fridays or Saturdays from 11 Dec 2006 – 10 April 2027. Two weeks off at Christmas/New Year and one week off over President’s Week in Febraury.

Small Coaching Groups – Max 6
We cap ski coaching groups at just six participants per coach. This ensures personalised attention, smoother sessions, and faster, more effective progress.

Not Included
Flights & Travel
Flights & Travel are not included, but ALLTRACKS can organise your flights if you wish or provide advice on suitable flights.
Travel Insurance
Insurance is not included, but adequate cover for all aspects of your course and holiday for the entire duration of your trip is an ALLTRACKS requirement.
Level 3/4 Exam & Exam Modules
Accommodation
Whistler accommodation is not included but this can be added on for an additional cost. Speak to the team for more info.
Course Schedule
Welcome to Whistler
You will recieve a welcome briefing and be introduced to some of our instructors and be helped you choose your ski equipment if necessary. We’ll show you around the resort if you wish and collect your season pass before bringing the group together for a welcome party with a couple of drinks and some of Whistler’s greatest pizza.
Let's Ski!
Meet at 9 where we will oversee the split into coaching groups and you’ll meet your personal instructor. Get ready to explore the whole of the Whistler Blackcomb resort so you know the lie of the land. With loads of miles under your belt in the first few days, your coach will already be able to analyse your technique.
Progression & Teaching Module
Building on your experiences in week 1, we’ll start coaching according to our Unique Training Formula which splits sessions into Component, Challenge and Free Range tuition. Using regular video analysis you’ll see your progress visually and also receive instructor methodology clinics too. Week 2 also typically incudes the Teach Module.
We will cover ski maintenance so you keep your gear in the best possible condition. And don’t forget the weekly apres-ski socials!
Ski Module and further refinement
We will continue refining your technique to get to the level 3 standard using our training formula. This week will also see the CSIA or PSIC ski module, then last prerequisite before the final exam.
CSIA or PSIC L3 Final Exam
You’ll have gained an in-depth knowledge of teaching progressions, mastered demonstration skills, and built the confidence required to deliver high-quality lessons and high performance, technical skiing. By the time you sit your Level 3 exam, you’ll be fully prepared.

Level 3 is a high qualification so you should be well placed but teaching/coaching/leadership experience in other fields is valued too.
