9 Week Combined Ski Instructor & Off Piste Course Whistler

The best of both worlds combining ski instructor training while improving your all mountain, off piste skiing.

This 9 week course is the perfect option for those guests looking to really improve your all mountain skiing, earn an instructor qualification and learn about avalanche safety. You’ll enjoy the best terrain in Canada with encouraging coaches and guides in a group of other like minded skiers.

Following the ALLTRACKS Training Formula, the first few weeks prepare you for the CSIA L1 ski instructor qualification whilst also providing you with a strong foundation in all terrain ski technique. Once the Level 1 is complete, the course focus shifts to 90% off piste.

Your trainers are some of the most experienced and motivated big mountain coaches in Canada. In addition to guiding you to the goods each day, they will continue to analyse and improve your technique so that you leave the course as confident and capable in deep powder conditions as on the groomers. As well as technique improvement, we include the Canadian Avalanche Association (CAA) Avalanche Skills Training (AST) Levels 1 & 2. You will ski tour through the stunning Whistler backcountry led by ACMG/IFMGA or CAA guides.

We finish up with an awesome day’s heli skiing with Whistler Heli in what we hope will be you best day on skis ever!

This course is based in Whistler, consistently voted North America's #1 ski resort. You will stay in comfortable, well located accommodation with other trainees, with meals provided if you choose. ALLTRACKS training formula devised by Guy Hetherington, Alltracks Head Coach & CSIA L4 Examiner.

Expert Pros & Guides
Professional CSIA Coaches typically CSIA Examiners. The overwhelming majority are CSIA L4 supported by a few excellent L3s. Guides are ACMG or IFMGA qualified and the avalanche skills are taught by Canadian Avalanche Association Qualified teachers.

Coaching Groups 6 MAX
Maximum of 6 guests per ski coach for personal attention and more fluid training sessions.

Specific Modules
Specific coaching for instructor training, moguls, all mountain freeride and powder.

CSIA Level 1 Exam Fee
Examination fee for the Canadian Ski Instructor’s Alliance Level 1 Exam.
