FAQs about our Freestyle Ski Courses

Who is the freestyle ski course for?

Freestyle skiing is a kind of skiing that involves aerials, moguls, cross, half-pipe and slopestyle. It’s often seen by most in the winter olympics, but it’s also something you can learn as part of some  Alltracks courses. For skiers who want to improve their skiing beyond the ski parks and resorts – and practise some off-piste and freestyle techniques – our freestyle courses are ideal.

Do you have to be a certain age?

Our courses at Alltracks are popular with many ages,  ranging from 18 all the way to 60, from all over the world.

What are the options for freestyle ski courses?

Here at Alltracks, we offer two main choices when it comes to our freestyle ski course. We’ll discuss these below to make the choice easier for you.

Choice 1: If you want to learn more about freestyle skiing, but you also want to widen your skills in other areas of the sport too, then our ‘Additional Freestyle Training Module’ might be a good choice for you. This option can be bolted on to some of our longer instructor or improvement courses – so it’s a popular choice for building a well rounded course experience.

Choice 2: For some skiiers, they want to focus on freestyle skiing and put all their energy into ensuring they’re building technique in this specific area. For these people, our ‘11 Week Instructor & Freestyle Ski Course’ is a perfect fit. This course contains almost three months of training – combining ski instructor qualifications along with freestyle coaching. It’s a great mix of both.

When do the courses run?

Our programmes run from mid November to the end of April, during the peak skiing season.

Where are the courses held?

Our courses take place in Whistler, which is one of the most iconic and well-known ski resorts. Whistler is amazing, and it’s a huge selling point to our courses! It’s a wonderful experience to be based in such a bustling and beautiful resort, and you’ll find your time off the slopes just as interesting and fun as your time on them. Whistler has lots of amenities too – so you’ll be kept busy all week long!

Do I need qualifications to do the freestyle ski course?

No, you won’t need any qualifications to get onto the course. In many cases, you may actually work towards a qualification during the course duration. You will need knowledge of skiing however, and you will need to be a confident skier.

How much does it cost?

The cost will vary depending on the length of your course and the various add-ons you choose. If you’re undecided about the most suitable course, please get in touch – we’re here to help answer your course questions.

Will I still get to have a social life?

Absolutely! A big part of the Alltracks experience is the social life! You’ll make loads of friends on the course and have a fantastic time attending social events and meet-ups.
