France’s Hidden Gem for Family Skiing
Last Easter, I finished off the ski season with a lovely family ski holiday to St Foy, France. I first discovered St Foy while doing a ski season in Val d’Isere many years ago. It has the reputation of having good snow a lot longer than Val d’Isere which typically gets tracked out pretty quickly. So a couple of days after a fresh snowfall, we’d head down to St Foy for our extended powder fix!
However, St Foy is not only well suited for skiers and snowboarders searching for powder. It is a fantastic resort for young children too. The ski area being easy to navigate and has lots of tree skiing which kids tend to love.
I had visited Whistler earlier in the year so we were looking for a good value week’s skiing with the children. We booked with Erna Low, a UK ski holiday company specialising in self catered apartments at some of Europe’s top resorts ands we could not have been happier. The whole set up worked brilliantly and the ski in ski out accommodation was fantastic, especially with tired children at the end of the day.
