If you’re already a Level 2 qualified instructor, why not take the next step and train for your PSIC or CSIA Level 3? This intensive 4-week ski instructor course provides focused training with some of Whistler’s top coaches — giving you the best possible preparation to succeed in the Level 3 exams.
The programme is led and overseen by ALLTRACKS Head Coach, Guy Hetherington, one of Canada’s most respected Level 4 Examiners. You’ll receive personalised, detailed feedback and expert video analysis to refine both your skiing technique and teaching skills.
Training in Whistler Blackcomb gives you access to the most varied and challenging terrain in North America — the perfect environment to elevate your skiing to Level 3 standards.
For strong and motivated skiers, this course can also be added on to our 10-Week Ski Instructor Course — providing a seamless pathway from Level 1 through to Level 3 certification in a single season.
Please note: Accommodation is included for the duration of this course. However, if you prefer, we can offer a lower-priced option without accommodation.

Course Schedule
Welcome to Whistler
You will recieve a welcome briefing and be introduced to some of our instructors and be helped you choose your ski equipment if necessary. We’ll show you around the resort if you wish and collect your season pass before bringing the group together for a welcome party with a couple of drinks and some of Whistler’s greatest pizza.
Let's Ski!
Meet at 9 where we will oversee the split into coaching groups and you’ll meet your personal instructor. Get ready to explore the whole of the Whistler Blackcomb resort so you know the lie of the land. With loads of miles under your belt in the first few days, your coach will already be able to analyse your technique.
Progression & Teaching Module
Building on your experiences in week 1, we’ll start coaching according to our Unique Training Formula which splits sessions into Component, Challenge and Free Range tuition. Using regular video analysis you’ll see your progress visually and also receive instructor methodology clinics too. Week 2 also typically incudes the Teach Module.
We will cover ski maintenance so you keep your gear in the best possible condition. And don’t forget the weekly apres-ski socials!
Ski Module and further refinement
We will continue refining your technique to get to the level 3 standard using our training formula. This week will also see the CSIA or PSIC ski module, then last prerequisite before the final exam.
CSIA or PSIC L3 Final Exam
You’ll have gained an in-depth knowledge of teaching progressions, mastered demonstration skills, and built the confidence required to deliver high-quality lessons and high performance, technical skiing. By the time you sit your Level 3 exam, you’ll be fully prepared.

Level 3 is a high qualification so you should be well placed but teaching/coaching/leadership experience in other fields is valued too.
